Custom Design Process
Pick Your Land Parcel
Get started with HUTS Land to identify the perfect parcel for you. Some people take a long time to find the right spot, but we can point you in the right direction.
Design Concepting
We’ll take 2 - 3 weeks to learn more about your house goals and how you imagine using your space. We’ll review inspiration projects and develop a unique floor-plan and layout for you.
Design Development
We’ll take 2 - 3 weeks to develop the architectural design from the previous phase. Elevations, sections, and more detailed structural drawings will be accompanied by finish selections.
Finalized Construction Documents
With the design in place, we’ll develop the final construction documents. One set will be to secure building permits from the town and another version to get estimates from qualified builders.
Secure Building Permits
If you’re in New York State, we can secure building permits for your project, and be your representative to usher your project through the process. If you’re out of state, we’ll work with a local architect to submit your project.
Secure Your Contractor
We’ll help you find the right contractor for your project. We’ll review their proposals, help value-engineer their scope, and organize the build to ensure everything goes as planned.
