Site Plan
With its clean dormer lines, and adaptable interior layout, the design balances comfort, style, and functionality, a home crafted to grow with the family and rooted in the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley.
With a sleek shed roof and refined dormer lines, the home feels simultaneously bold and understated. Its orientation opens generous views to the landscape while preserving privacy, creating a calm refuge nestled within a shared family property.
Strategically placed windows frame expansive views across the site, grounding the home in the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley. Every sightline is intentional, ensuring the surrounding landscape is not just seen, but felt throughout the living spaces.
Inside, a flexible floor plan adapts to the rhythms of family life — open and spacious for gathering, yet comfortably defined for moments of quiet. The interior balances style and practicality, supporting both present needs and the inevitable changes that come with time.
Warm materials, thoughtful detailing, and an emphasis on natural light create a home that feels intentional at every scale. The design blends comfort and modern aesthetics with everyday usability, resulting in spaces that feel both elevated and deeply livable.
The owners are acting as their own general contractors, guiding the construction with care and precision. Their hands-on approach ensures the design intent is honored from concept through completion, bringing a personal, crafted quality to every decision.

We supported the subdivision of the larger family-owned property into a smaller parcel. The site plan creates new road access and separate utilities.
The shed roof is a space- and cost-efficient design solution that maximizes the loft space. Strategically-placed modern dormers open up views and flood the upstairs with natural light.
The client is acting as his own GC, and we've simplified the construction approach to account for the owner-builder approach.

The interiors embrace a warm, minimalist aesthetic, combining light natural woods with a soft palette of neutral tones and subtle pops of brass. This restrained material approach allows the architecture to shine, emphasizing light, air, and clean geometric form.
