Strategy

The layout takes advantage of two very different parts of the land. The meadow buildings sit out in the open with long light and wide views. The forest buildings are more tucked in, quieter, and shaded.
A public building sits near the center of the plan and gives the project a shared “living room.” It supports arrivals and gathering, and it gives guests an alternative to staying in their cabin when the weather shifts or when they want a change of pace.

Master Plan

The master plan is simple: two cabin clusters and one shared building, connected by short paths. The experience is meant to feel calm and walkable. Vehicles do what they need to do at arrival and service moments, then they fade into the background.
Wellness amenities are placed across the property rather than packed into a single corner. That encourages guests to move around a bit. A short walk becomes part of the stay.

Unit Design

The cabins are designed to be comfortable and efficient, without feeling tight. Each unit has a simple form, generous glazing, and a strong connection to the outdoors. The interiors are organized around the way people actually use a cabin: a good main room, a quiet sleeping zone, and enough storage to keep the place feeling uncluttered.
Medo uses two cabin types. One is smaller and geared toward couples and short stays. The other is larger and works well for small families or longer weekends. The goal isn’t variety for variety’s sake. It’s to match how guests travel.
Small Cabin

This is the couples cabin. The footprint stays compact, but the main room feels open and bright. A simple plan keeps circulation tight and puts the view where it belongs: in the living space and at the outdoor threshold. It’s designed to be comfortable in winter, breezy in summer, and easy to maintain between guests.

Family Bar

This is the larger cabin type. It’s still a cabin scale, but it has more flexibility: a bigger living area, more storage, and a layout that handles kids, friends, and longer stays without feeling like a house. It’s meant to feel relaxed and durable, not precious.

Interiors & Finishes

The interiors are warm, durable, and calm. The palette stays restrained so the site remains the focus. We use materials that can handle real use, and we keep the detailing straightforward so the cabins feel timeless instead of trendy.
Each unit is set up to work for short-term rental operations without feeling like a rental. Built-ins and storage keep things tidy. The kitchen zone is efficient and well-equipped. Lighting is soft and practical. In winter, the cabin should feel like a place you want to stay in all afternoon.

Amenities & Experience

The wellness amenities are spaced across the site. Guests end up taking short walks between experiences, which keeps the stay from turning into cabin-only time. It also makes the property feel larger and more varied without adding more buildings.
The public building is a key piece. It’s where groups can gather, read, play a game, take a call, or get out of the rain. It gives the property a center without making it feel busy.
